Chatham Yacht Club is located on property leased from Eastward Ho! Country Club.
Driving Directions:
1. Take Route 6 to exit 11.
2. At the end of the ramp turn left onto Route 137 toward Chatham.
3. Take an immediate left onto Pleasant Bay Road.
4. Follow Pleasant Bay Road to the end, going straight through one stop sign.
5. At the end of Pleasant Bay Road bear right onto Route 28. Round Cove Landing is directly across Route 28 if you have a boat to launch and require a ramp.
6. Pass Pleasant Bay and enter Chatham, see the sign.
Note: the next dirt road on the left is to Jacknife Harbor Beach,
another launching point for 420's, Optis, and Sunfish - no ramp available,
and the road floods at high tide.
7. At the top of the hill turn left on Fox Hill Road.
8. Follow Fox Hill Road for approximately .7 miles. Eastward Ho! Country Club will be on your left. Turn left into the first entrance, before the main driveway, in front of the storage sheds, at the sign for Chatham Yacht Club.
9. Parking is limited - see directions below.
Due to limited parking (particularly on weekends), CYC members and visitors are urged to arrange car pooling or to sail to the club whenever possible.
Important update to parking and access to CYC for
the 2011 season:
Driving children to and from Sailing school:
To drop off sailing school students, please use the main entrance of Eastward
Ho! Country
Club. Proceed no further than the first hedge then turn right into the paved
parking lot and drop off children there. All sailors must walk quietly following
the CYC signs that lead in front of the first tee. STOP, LOOK and
LISTEN, giving right of way to the golfers teeing off.
Please also pause quietly for golfers putting out on the 9th green.
Parking: When visiting the CYC Clubhouse, please park in the paved parking
lot in front of the practice pitching green (Ref diagram).
Notes:
1. Do not drop off at the Eastward Ho! Clubhouse entrance.
2.
The
use of cell phones is expressly prohibited on Eastward Ho! grounds and must
either remain in your vehicle or be turned off while proceeding to CYC.
